“Steve Jobs” was released on Oct. 9th telling the candid story of the tech mogul who passed away in 2011. The film, which has a 6.6 out of 10 on the Internet Movie Database website, or IMDB, covers some of the more controversial topics of Jobs’ life, from his betrayal of close friends to his rise to power via his ruthlessness.

The story of Steve Jobs is one immortalized by his companies creations, be it the MacBook used by college students, the millions of iPhones used around the world, or even the legacy set by the creation of the personal computer;  but the story told by Danny Boyle tells a tale of a insatiable capitalist who changed the technology business.

The movie is a more cinematic take on the influential inventor’s life starring a cast of experienced actors including Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, and Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak.

It received predominantly positive reviews with critics praising the acting of Fassbender and Rogen while criticizing the posing of Jobs as a messiah-like figure, rather than a capitalist businessman.
