Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is an organization that meets every Thursday afternoon from 2:15 to 3:30. The club’s meetings usually consist of making posters for the school or participating in parties.

FBLA goes on many field trips throughout the year. In December, they went to New York City to see a TV networking station.  For Thanksgiving, they went to the pumpkin patch.

“The field trips are pretty fun and they tell all the percussion we have to take” freshman Cody Goodman said.

Earlier in the school year, there was a small controversy over whether or not the field trip to New York would be safe. Later, the organization deemed that the field trip would be safe because of all the precautions.

“I really enjoy being in FBLA,” senior president Tori Goodman said. “It has definitely been a lot of work, but after four years of being in the club, I am proud to claim the title of president.”

During their meetings, Goodman gives an agenda on what has to be done. Goodman and the adult sponsor, Daniela Bolton, maintain and control all aspects of the club.

“The activities are fun,” sophomore Katherine Howdershelt said.

Most of the activities consist of a challenges for the members.  These challenges include a mummy race and a candy cane toss. At the parties, they also give out food and drinks and play movies for anyone that doesn’t want to participate.

“The parties are nice because we get to make different decisions on what happens and when, and it’s nice to work with my fellow cabinet member and Mrs. Bolton,” sophomore Kaela Watson said.

For the members of FBLA, it is more than just a club. It is a family.
